Most statutory health insurance providers reimburse between 75% and 100% of the course costs, up to a maximum of €100 per course per year. Some insurers even fund two courses per year.
Section 20 of the German Social Security Code V requires statutory health insurance providers to subsidize prevention courses. Nutrion is currently in the certification process as a recognized prevention course under §20 SGB V.
AOK, Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), Barmer, DAK-Gesundheit and most other statutory health insurance providers participate in §20 courses. Private health insurers have their own rules – please check directly with your insurer.
